Toyota updated the popular RAV4 for 2025. This new redesign is a big deal. The RAV4 is now offered only as a hybrid vehicle. This changes things a lot from older models.
Two Hybrid Options
The 2025 RAV4 keeps what people like. It still has good fuel economy. The inside is large and useful. It gives a smooth ride on the road.
You can pick between two main hybrid types.
One is the standard RAV4 Hybrid. It uses a gas engine and electric motors together. This model gets very good gas mileage.
The other option is the plug-in hybrid model. Toyota changed the name for this. It is now called the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid. It used to be the RAV4 Prime. This version has a bigger battery. You can drive on electric power alone for about 42 miles.
This works well for daily commutes. When the battery runs out, it switches to work like a regular hybrid. This gives you a lot of flexibility.
Trim Levels and Design Changes
The redesign means some trim levels are gone. The tougher-looking Adventure and TRD Off-Road trims are not available for 2025.
Inside, the higher trims get better technology. You can get a larger touchscreen. A fully digital dashboard is also an option. Even the basic models come with an 8-inch screen and good safety features. Every RAV4 has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 standard. This includes features like smart cruise control and automatic emergency braking.

Price and Availability
The standard 2025 RAV4 Hybrid starts around $34,050. The Plug-in Hybrid costs more to start. It begins at about $46,015 for the SE trim. You should talk to a local dealer for exact prices.
This new focus on hybrid power shows what Toyota cares about. The goal is to give drivers good fuel economy and more ways to drive electric.
