Heavy-Duty Commercial Truck Washer

Operate High-Power Cleaning Fleet Systems & Keep Canada’s Heavy Rigs Rolling Clean

🚚 Role: Heavy Fleet Operations ⏰ Status: Full-Time 📍 Location: On-Site Service Facility

Power Up Your Career with Heavy-Duty Commercial Wash Operations

There is something powerful about stepping up to a massive 18-wheeler semi-truck covered in highway road grime, mud, and salt, and using professional pressure gear to restore it to peak condition. At HD Diesel Supply, commercial trucks and heavy-duty vehicles are the backbone of everything we do. Keeping these massive machines clean is not just about looks—it preserves fleet equipment, protects frame chassis from rust, and represents professional highway standards.

We are expanding our wash bay crew and looking for a hardworking, energetic, and physical Heavy-Duty Commercial Truck Washer. If you like hands-on machinery work, enjoy working with industrial cleaning tools, and want a stable, full-time position with reliable hours, this is the job for you!

Mastering Industrial Pressure Washing Equipment

This is not a light passenger car wash. In this role, you will work directly with industrial-grade, heated high-pressure water cannons, heavy-duty wands, and specialized commercial soap injectors.

You will learn how to safely handle high-PSI water output to blast away stubborn diesel exhaust soot, caked highway mud, road salt, and grease from large exterior body panels, high-roof sleepers, aluminum cabs, and wide commercial trailers.

Undercarriage, Frame Rail & Engine Bay Degreasing

Heavy trucks build up grease and road oils underneath where ordinary washes cannot reach. Part of your core training will involve heavy undercarriage degreasing and frame cleaning.

You will apply chemical degreasers to fifth-wheel plates, transmission housings, axle assemblies, and engine subframes before performing thorough high-pressure rinses. This critical step enables mechanics to perform inspections cleanly and keeps trucks in safe operating condition.

Paid Training on Heavy Equipment & Machinery Safety

Never operated an industrial hot-water pressure washer or commercial wash bay system before? Don’t worry! We provide full, hands-on paid safety and machinery operational training. All you need to bring is a strong work ethic, physical readiness, and a willingness to learn.

Commercial Wheel, Rim & Fuel Tank Scrubbing

Nothing defines a sharp fleet rig like gleaming aluminum wheels and polished fuel tanks. You will scrub brake dust off heavy dual-wheel setups, clean inner rim wells, and strip grime from side step-boards and fuel tanks.

You will use specialized rim acid treatments, soft wash brushes, and brightener solutions to make stainless steel and polished aluminum components look brand new before departure.

Safety First: Waterproof Gear & Team Protocols

Heavy truck washing is active, wet, and physical work. We ensure every team member is fully equipped with complete waterproof personal protective equipment (PPE), including heavy-duty waterproof suits, steel-toe rubber boots, face shields, and heavy gloves.

You will operate within well-ventilated, well-lit wash bays following clear team safety protocols to keep water drainage clear, hoses untangled, and walkways slip-free.

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

Here is what you will be doing as an integral part of our heavy fleet wash team:

  • Operate Commercial Pressure Equipment: Safely use high-pressure hot water hoses, foam cannons, and chemical soap applicators.
  • Clean Commercial Rigs & Trailers: Thoroughly wash semi-truck cabs, box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, and commercial trailers.
  • Degrease Undercarriages & Engines: Apply heavy degreasers to frame rails, suspensions, fifth wheels, and lower engine compartments.
  • Scrub Heavy Rims & Tires: Clean heavy truck tires, inner dual wheels, step plates, and fuel tanks.
  • Maintain Wash Bay Gear: Keep pressure pumps serviced, clean water drainage grates, coil high-pressure hoses, and restock chemical drums.

Qualifications We Look For

If you fit the following description, we want to hear from you today:

  • Physical Capability: Able to handle heavy pressure wands, pull thick water hoses, and work on your feet for full shifts.
  • Comfortable with Water & Outdoor Bay Environments: Ready to work in wet conditions with complete waterproof safety gear provided.
  • Punctual & Dependable: Showing up on time for every scheduled shift ready to support your crew members.
  • Valid Driver’s License: A valid license to assist in moving or staging trucks around the shop yard is a strong advantage.
  • No Prior Commercial Wash Experience Needed: Willingness to learn safety procedures and work hard is all it takes!
